Shershaah: Kamal Haasan Calls Sidharth Malhotra And Kiara Advani's Film An ‘Excellent Work’; Says,' My Chest Swells With Pride For My Soldiers'

Actor Kamal Haasan is floored by this year's most awaited film release Shershaah. The 66-years-old star took to Twitter to congratulate and praise Sidharth and Kiara for their brilliant performances in the film. The actor wrote, “Right from my childhood as a film fan and a patriot's son I resented the way Indian army was depicted in some of our Cinemas. Shershaah is that exception that makes my chest swell with pride for my soldiers. Thanks, @DharmaMovies for promoting a talented director like @vishnu_dir. Congrats @SidMalhotra and @advani_kiara, excellent work.”

 The film which released on Amazon Prime Video on 12 August has been immensely loved and appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Not only Kamal Haassan, other celebs like Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and others called the film a must-watch.  Actor Vicky Kaushal shared, “Loved the film. Capt Vikram Batra’s valor and sacrifice made me emotional. Salute to all the brave hearts. Congratulations to the entire team of Shershaah. You all deserve congratulations. And @kiaraaliaadvani tum toh.” Man will cry only.

 Alia Bhatt too followed and called the Shershaah actor special, she wrote, "This film has made me laugh and cry and everything more. @sidmalhotra you were too, too special yaa! So so moving! And @kiaraaladvani my beautiful, you really just shine right through. Congratulations to the whole film and the entire cast! Such a lovely film”.

The biopic film is made on Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). The film is a tribute to a brave martyr who showed grit, strength, and courage during the Kargil War in 1999. The film is directed by debutant Vishnu Vardhan and also features Shiv Pandit, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjit, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figur, and Pawan Chopra in important roles.
